Weather Stop Side Seal Fitting Instructions

Tools Required

  • Tape measure
  • Scissors
  • Pencil or marker pen
  • Drill

Note: Suitable to fit with manual or automatic up-and-over garage doors only.

Step 1

 
With a tape measure, measure from the bottom of the frame up to the pivot point of the door.

Step 2

 
Make a mark with a pencil on the frame on both sides, then cut the rubber side seal to size..

Step 3

Fitting Step Three
Put the washer over the screw and put screw through the rubber seal. Then fix the screw into the back edge of the frame. Continue this process until the side seal is secured tightly.

Alternative Step

Fitting Step Four
If the garage door also has a gap at the top side of the garage door the rubber seal may be fitted to the back of the garage door overlapping the frame. This can only be fitted from the pivot point of the door to the top of the door. In such circumstances, the rubber seal may have to be cut in sections to accommodate the garage door mechanism.
